'The absence of gay culture could leave a void. Sure there are prides, but they are everyone's domain nowadays. Restoration of traditional values, such as marriage, may be alright for some, but too much pressure is only causing a toxic kind of tribalism. I think the influence of people coming from other countries might play a part in that. Globalization has turned out to be responsible for causing a rather bland and generic boring culture. The commercializing of the internet has not made things better, since it has been a medium where people with alternative lifestyles have been able to interact. I would not have made this series if I had not personally been subjected to the agenda of institutions and of people around me. This series is hopefully a more gentle response in which I try to show that alternative lifestyles do still exist. They look rather primitive and are almost uncomfortable to watch. A bit like porn. Taste and aesthetics are deeply personaI and I tried to play with that sense and with my own preferences as well. I came out of the closet twenty years ago and it has been easy to be honest. Because twenty years ago it was. Nowadays I am hearing people say they find it harder to find a job because of their sexual orientation. I wouldn't call that progress. Of course I want to be in a relationship. There is nothing on TV and the internet sucks. What else are you gonna do? I just don't think there should be any pressure. Jas indeed!'
